Bi-Convex Lenses

A biconvex lens focuses light rays to a point and has a positive focal length. It consists of two convex surfaces (equal radii of curvature can be customized). It is commonly used in imaging relay systems and for imaging objects at a finite conjugate distance. A key characteristic is that the larger the conjugate ratio, the more significant the aberrations (mainly spherical aberration and coma) generated.
