Plano-Convex Lenses

A plano-convex lens focuses light rays to a point with a positive focal length, and it consists of one plane surface and one convex surface. It is commonly used in imaging relay systems and for imaging objects at a finite conjugate distance. A key characteristic is that the larger the conjugate ratio, the more significant the aberrations (especially spherical aberration) it generates.
